Hello,
Yesterday I mentioned that I wanted students' costumes for the play to be in before Wednesday. It has been brought to my attention that it would be best if the students just wore their costumes to school, to avoid changing in and out of them. Thanks!

What a crazy month it has been so far! I want to thank all of you for coming to visit with me over the past two weeks for conferences. It was so nice to see all of you.
This coming week marks the last full week of school before Christmas Vacation. How exciting!! This week will be very busy for first grade, because are getting ready for our holiday performance. We will put our performance on for the school as a dress rehearsal this Thursday, December 17th at 9 am. Our official performance for families and friends will be the same day, Thursday December 17th, at 6:30. The students have been working very hard to make this special. I am very proud of them! We sent home a list of what character your child is in the play, and what he or she will need for a costume. He or she should bring it in to school by Wednesday, December 16th.
It is also time to start thinking of our holiday party for next week. This year, our class party theme will be Polar Express PJ Day!! Your children are invited to wear their PJs to school on the day of our party, Wednesday December 23rd. They may bring slippers to change into once they get to school. We will watch The Polar Express and drink hot cocoa, and following the movie we will have some brunch snacks. This will take place first thing in the morning. You will receive details in a letter home tomorrow, to find out who to call if you would like to donate some snacks or join us!
