If you still need to register your child for
the Kindergarten/First Grade Program for the 2010-2011 school year, please
stop in the office at your earliest convenience.
We need to make sure we have accounted for the incoming Kindergarten/First
Grade students in the budget.
The NBCS T-Shirts are on sale now. Look
for the order form by email if you receive the Thursday Notice by email, or by
hard copy if you receive a hard copy Thursday Notice. All order forms are due
back to Mrs. Wayland by Tuesday, December 1st.
PTA NEWS:
Do you prefer gift cards to cash? Do you like
to give gift cards as presents for the holidays?
The NBCS PTA gift card (Scrip) program is your chance to make your life easier
while helping the school! For every gift card you purchase the NBCS PTA will
receive a percentage of the value of the card. There is no "enrollment code"
to pay online for the gift cards. Scrip does not accept credit card payments
and we did not opt to use the electronic pay by check so, no one can pay
online. You can only VIEW all of the online venders and gift card amounts but
not pay online. If, when viewing online, you see a vendor or new amount that
you would like to order, add the item to the order form that was sent home
last week. Then, pay by check, written to the NBCS PTA and send the
payment with order form to school by November 19th. Gift cards
will be delivered the first week of December. Remember that the
holidays are just around the corner and this program is a great way to do all
your holiday shopping and help out your child's school!
RECREATION NEWS:
New sessions of Karate, Yoga and Quilting will be
online beginning next week. You can also register in our office for these and
other programs. We do urge people to set up an online account and register
for programs in this manner. Over 90% of our basketball registrations this
year were online, which is a great convenience for Recreation users!
The Christmas Tree Lighting will be Sunday,
November 29th at 6pm on the town common. We will have light
refreshments and members of our local church choirs will lead us in singing
Christmas carols.
The next kids dance for grades 5-7 is Friday,
December 4th from 7:00-9:30 pm in the school gym. Admission is $6
and refreshments will be sold. Please call if you can help chaperone. THIS
IS NOT A SCHOOL SPONSORED EVENT!
Breakfast with Santa is Sunday, December 13th
in the school gym from 8:00-10:30 am. Kids can visit with Santa, have their
picture taken and receive a small gift. An optional breakfast will also be
served for $5 (age 13 and older), $4 (age 5-12 and senior citizens) and free
for kids 4 and younger.
COMMUNITY NEWS:

Order forms for the 2009 Children's Fun Passes
will be sent home with your children this week, so be on the lookout for
them! These coupon books will help you save lots of money on over 100 great
family friendly New England attractions like Storyland, CanobieLake,
Whale's Tale, Wildcat and Pat's Peak. The books are $25, and support both the
NBCS PTA and many of Breathe New Hampshire's programs that educate children
about the dangers of tobacco. They make great Yankee swap gifts and stocking
stuffers. Please contact Jennifer Martin at 487-2868 if you have any
questions.
