Announcements

It's not too late to order Storywork Magazine for the 2009-2010 school year.
I have already paid the bill, but I can change the subscription amount up to
January. If you would like a subscription, please send in $6.49 (cash, money
order or check payable to Mrs. Villiard.) Also please indicate which free
issue you were already given, Sept., Oct. or Nov./Dec. I will give your child
the other issues. Thank you.

Healthy Snack - Due to a grant we received, all Northwest students recieve a
healthy snack of fruit or vegetables. The October calender of snacks was sent
home on 9/30/09 on the back of the lunch calendar. There is a healthy snack
provided every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in October. Students will need a
snack on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I will try to save a few extras from Mon.
and Wed. for Tues and Thurs.
Since this snack is provided, we are going to try having ice cream orders
after lunch (at recess) instead of at 10:15. This may be healthier, and time
efficient since our 10:15 snack is a "working snack". Ice cream is now $.50.
