What do I do if I am absent?

If you are absent, look on teacherweb to find out your homework
for that night. Get the notes that you missed from either the
teacher or a firend in that class. You have the number of days
you were absent to make up the work. Work cannot be given ahead
of time for missing school because of vacations. Please use the
English and SS syllabi on my teacherweb site to know what story
you are going to have to make up.

How do I actively read?

Reading actively is both a mental and physical task. There are
six ways to actviely read with post-its or in your notebook:
asking questions ( remember to ask in class the next day and
write the answer next to the question), predicting, summarizing,
relating ( what do you have in common with you just read),
reactions ( good or bad),and visualizing ( drawing what you just
read. You should do at least two methods every time you read, no
matter the subject.
