Eighth Grade Science
Honors Option
Sign Up Sheet

 l. The purpose of the 8th grade Science Honors Option is to allow motivated students an 
opportunity to go beyond the regular science curriculum, obtain a deeper understanding 
of content presented in class and share their work with others.

II. Program:
Students will sign up during the first couple of weeks of each marking period.
Students may participate in any one or all four marking periods. Meet occasionally during lunch to keep updated on due dates and expected progress:
Complete two Current Event Articles each term which equals 1 test grade.
Complete one Web Quests each term which includes a Quest, a Concluding Activity and a presentation which equals 1 test grade.

III. Grading:
Students will be assessed on the completion and depth of work turned in as well as the Concluding Activity. Honors Option comment will be noted on the report card for participation and satisfactory completion of the requirements.
