How do I know when my child is the leader?

A calendar is sent home at the beginning of each month indicating who the
leader is. If your child is celebrating a birthday, he/she will be the
leader on that day. Should it fall on the weekend, it will be scheduled for
the closest week day. If your child has a birthday in the summer, we will
schedule a "Happy Day" for them before the end of the school year. Each
child is responsible for a show & tell item when they are the leader.

What should my child bring in their lunch box?

Please review the lunch menu with your child each month. If they bring in
an
item that requires a spoon/fork, please include it. They have snack in the
classroom in the afternoon so they need a drink box of some sort and a
snack. ONE WILL NOT BE PROVIDED FOR THEM! It is very important for you to
communicate with your child what they are going to eat for lunch. Many
times
they would prefer a hot lunch but you did not budget for one. Communication
is the key. I suggest a note in their lunch box to help them remember. If
they question whether they are having hot or cold, they can always look in
their lunch box for the answer.
