How much time should my child spend on homework every night? What is the classroom homework policy?

Typically, a fourth grader should spend 40minutes to 1 hour on homework. If at
any time you feel your child is getting frustrated, just send me a note in the
assignment notebook or call and we can make adjustments accordingly. Thanks
for all your
support at home!!

If your child forgets to bring in his/her homework on time, they will get one
extra day to pass it in. If it goes beyond that day, your child will have to
make up the work missed during recess time. If your child continually forgets
to pass in homework, I will be calling home to let you know. Please initial
the assignment notebook every night, so I know that you have seen the homework
and that your child has completed it. Every 5 extra credit math homework
papers will count towards a grade of 100 to be averaged in at the end of that
marking term. Projects and book reports will have a list of directions to
accompany them and will have plenty of time to complete.
