Happy New Year!  I hope that you all enjoyed Christmas with family and friends.  I want to thank you all for your generous Christmas gifts and cards!  The students had a wonderful last day of school before vacation, exchanging gifts and watching The Polar Express.  It was truly enjoyed by all! 

The students came back well rested and ready to go!  We transitioned very nicely back into our daily routines.  This month there are two days that the students do not have school,  1/18 (M.L.K day) and the other is 1/25 for a Teacher Workshop Day.  Also, this month, the Reading is Fun Book Swap will take place in the school library on 1/12 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  A notice and  a sign up sheet will be going home this week.  If you have any questions, please let me know. 

I am looking forward to another busy month.  This month ends the 2nd quarter.  Report card will be sent home on Friday, January 29th.  There are no scheduled parent/teacher conferences, however, I am more that willing to make myself available if you have any questions or concerns about your child's academic progress.  Although, I must say, each student has grown so much this last quarter as I hope you have noticed.  I am very proud of them and am looking forward to continued success!
