My name is Kelly Masiello. I began teaching first grade at Pelham
Elementary School in 2003. Prior to that, I taught grades 1 & 2 in Hopkinton,
Massachusetts. I received my Bachelors in
Education at Framingham State College.
I live in Pelham, New Hamshire with my husband David, my 14 year old
daughter Makenzie and 12 year old son Zachary. My family and I are are very
involved in town sports. If I am not at school, I am probably at Muldoon
Park!
My passions are family, fitness and teaching.
I dreamed I stood in a studio
and watched two sculptors there.
The clay they used was a child's mind,
they fashioned it with care.
One was a parent,
with a guiding hand and a gently, loving heart.
Day after day the teacher toiled,
with a touch that was strong and sure.
While the parent labored by her side,
with a heart that was clear and pure.
And when at last their task was done,
they stood proud of what they had wrought,
For things they had molded into the child
could neither be sold or bought.
And each agreed they would have failed
if they had worked alone.
For behind the parent stood the school...
and behind the teacher, the home.
