My name is Mrs. Zube. I graduated from Fitchburg State College in 1975 with
a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I have been teaching for 27
years. I taught first grade in Dracut, MA from 1975-1983. I took some
time off for my family, and we moved to Hudson, NH. I taught in Hudson from
1989-2002. While there, I was a Chapter I (Title I) reading tutor, Special
Education paraprofessional, and librarian. I have been working at Pelham
Elementary since 2002 as a looping first to second grade teacher.
I run the After-School Poetry Club for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Writing
is a passion of mine. I have had fiction and poetry published in regional
works. I have written a chapter book that I am trying to publish as well.
I love it here at Pelham Elementary and hope to stay for many years to come!
I believe in taking every child from where they are--intellectually,
emotionally and socially--to as far as they can go. Mutual respect,
understanding, and kindness are at the core of every successful educational
experience in my classroom. Flexibility and a sense of humor have proven to
be an important part of working with children. I feel it is a privilege
working at Pelham Elementary School.
