Can my child try out for any school sport?

School teams are open to all grade levels. Students have the opportunity to
try out for a team and all teams are selected by team coaches. All decisions
are final based on coaches' selections. Please note all tryout times and
schedules posted on the athletic webpage. Current physicals are necessary for
tryouts.

Does my child need a cell phone?

Cell phones are not necessary for school although we realize that many
students have them. The office phone is available to students if it is
necessary to call home and the office staff will relay messages to students at
the end of the day.
If you student does, however, bring a cell phone to school, we expect it to be
turned OFF at all times during the school day. If it rings during class or is
used during the school day, it will be taken away and turned in to the
assistant principal. See my announcement page or the school handbook for more details.

What time can my child be dropped off at school in the morning?

Staff officially begin morning supervisory duty at 7:15 and students begin
recess play outside. Students may, however, be dropped off from 7 to 7:14 and
go directly into the cafeteria. There is no formal supervision at this time.
Students have the opportunity to purchase breakfast items and/or sit quietly
visiting with friends until 7:15.
