Announcements December4,2009
Dear Parents,
All is going well in room 308! We have had 100% attendance for the past
three days. I would like to remind all parents that your son/daughter should
be reading 20 minutes Monday - Friday in order to receive a Pizza Hut
certificate.
Our top reader for the month of November is Rachel Day reading 1,090 minutes.
This is the second month she won top reader. Congratulations Rachel!
All students should be studying their multiplication facts. We have our
test three times a week.
Our Holiday party will be on December 23rd. You may be getting a call
from our room mother to donate something sweet for our party. I would like to
have a Yankee Swap with a book for the students this year. Each student will
bring in a new book that will be wrapped in holiday paper ( no name ). The day
of the party each student will pick a number. If you are familiar with a
Yankee Swap you know how the rest of the game continues. I have done this in
the past and the students enjoy this.
NWEA Testing will take place in January for Reading. I will let you know
the exact date after vacation.
