How long does my child have for each project?

Each student receives approximately 1 month for each new project
given. If for some reason the student cannot finish their project in class,
I may give them extra time depending on each individual student's
circumstance.

What if my child is absent?

All students who are absent are responsible to complete projects in a timely
manner by specific due dates. It is each students' own responsibility to
make arrangements for extra time if needed. However, when students are
clearly challenging themselves and applying effort to the best of their
ability, I respect that and usually will grant extra time to allow students
to create projects they can be proud of.

What if my child is not an artist?

Your child's grade has absolutely nothing to do with talent. Grades are
based on following specific directions and criteria in which I usually have
each student write on the back of their projects. Half of their grade is
based on following directions: creativity, quality, and neatness. The other
half of your child's grade is based on effort consisting of time management,
coming to class prepared, project completion, and class participation.

Are there supplies that students can borrow if needed?

Yes, any time a student must do catch-up work at home, I will always loan
students the materials needed so that they can still create a successful
project.
