"Links" 5, 6, and 7 relate to last week's TFK about the Angel Rock Project, South Africa and soil.
The sixth graders last year recommended the following for creating zero-waste lunches:
1. Use silverware instead of plastic
2. Compost food to fertilize plants
3. Eat/buy local foods
4. Use cloth napkins instead of paper napkins
5. Use reusable containers; avoid plastic wrap, foil and styrofoam.
6. Reuse water bottles
7. Buy bulk food--avoid individual serving sizes for less packaging
8. Recycle bottles and cans. Rinse them first!
