I began working at PES as a Sign Language Interpreter in 1983. I worked with a student one on one
from his Kindergarten through third grade year. I attended Keene State to finish my teaching degree
and returned here to teach second grade for two years. I took a break from teaching to work at a
wilderness lodge in Alaska's Denali National Park for 10 summers during which time I also raised a son.
I returned in 1999 to teach third grade for one year then began job sharing with Betsy Rybeck Lynd in
second grade. I have enjoyed being a part of this community for many years. Beyond teaching, working
on Arts Enrichment programs and in the school garden have been especially rewarding. This year I am
teaching full time and balancing a busy life with my husband and two sons.
