Dear Families, Thank you to all families who were able to attend our performance of 3 Insect Plays. I 
have posted photos of the performers on the photos page. Mrs. Langsner sent us fan mail! She said that 
the performers used great expression and she enjoyed all the information that was written into the 
plays. On to our Halloween plays!

We enjoyed our first Pie Feast today. Thank you Kate and Michael's family for baking and sending in two 
very delicious Apple pies for a celebration of my birthday this month.

We will be attending a performance at the Claremont Opera House on Thursday, October 22, 2009 to 
see Jim West Aesop's Fables with grade1 students. The performance begins at 10:00 am. Please send in 
the admission fees for both performances that we will be attending this year if you have not already. 
(combined fee is $10.00)

On Friday afternoon we will have 4 Winds. We will be learn about the varying appearance and textures 
of leaves and the way they function as food producers for their plants.
