Mr. Feid has been teaching for 15 years. He really enjoys working with children
of all ages. Having the chance to teach children from age 5 all the way to 14
is an excellent opportunity that not
many teachers enjoy. He is one of the only teachers who knows every student!
Mr. Feid has one daughter, Alieke Autumn, who is currently in the 4th grade.
Mr. Feid loves teaching and connecting with kids through sports. He was
originally going to teach English but decided to teach Physical Education
because he had always had lots of luck connecting with kids through sports.
Since he also knew that he would always be coaching, this seemed like a better
fit. Mr. Feid loves soccer, baseball, skiing, basketball and just about all
sports. His father was a ski coach so he grew up on the mountain in the
winters. Mr. Feid enjoyed lots of success in ski racing but soccer was always
his first love. Mr. Feid also has a passion for baseball and the Red Sox as
well as the Celtics and Patriots. Mr. Feid has lived in Holland
twice, teaching and coaching over the years. He speaks Dutch pretty well as
does his daughter. While coaching in Holland he had the chance to travel much
of Europe. Holland is his adopted country and he cheers for their soccer team
the "Oranje". Mr. Feid loves Plainfield
and feels that the kids here are lucky to have such a wonderful school and
community to grow up in. In the summers he has worked as the Director of the
Meriden Community Camp or MCC and has directed other day camps. Currently he
runs two weeks of sport camps at the school. He also works as a soccer
official and this keeps him quite busy in the summer and fall.
