During Unit One in Language Arts, we will INTRODUCE all 26 letters of the
alphabet. This is meant only to give the children an understanding of what
letters are and that they each make different sounds and begin different words.
Beginning in Unit 2, we will focus on ONE letter per week. At that time, we
will expect your child to learn the letter name, the sound it makes, and even
how to write it. During Unit 1 - we move much too quickly to expect this.
Unit 1 is just for exposure.
Once we begin focusing on the letter of the week and on specific sight words
(high frequency words) - they will be posted here so you can keep track of
which ones your child has been exposed to.
