During September and October, we focused on the following skills:
1. Counting forward from 0 to 21.
2. Counting backward from 10 to 1.
3. Reading the numbers 0 to 10.
4. Comparing lengths and matching ends.
5. Recognizing a penny and knowing its value.
6. Matching one to one.
During November, we will be focusing on the following skills:
1. Counting forward from 0 to 35.
2. Counting backward from 10 to 1.
3. Reading the numbers 1 to 15.
4. Recognizing and naming a triangle, square, circle, and a rectangle.
5. Recognizing simple examples of symmetry.
During December, we will be focusing on the following skills:
1. Counting forward from 0 to 50.
2. Counting backward from 12 to 0.
3. Understanding each "teen" number as 10 + a digit.
4. Using concepts of greater and less to find a "mystery number"
(Monster Squeeze Game).
5. Reading and recording amounts of pennies using the cents sign.
6. Generating, continuing, and copying patterns.
