Dear Parents,

Today blankets are being sent home for laundering.

In last week's memo I stated that the Pre-K children were going to Mass on Tuesday.  We did not have the opportunity on Monday to bring the children over to church for a trial run. So after speaking with Sister Janet, the children will start attending the 9AM Mass on Tuesday, October 20.

On Wednesday, we will be walking to the Currier Art Museum, weather permitting.  If you would like to chaperone, please let us know.

Please feel free to check out our website. There are some great pictures of the children from our apple picking trip to Gould's Apple Farm.

Next Friday, October 16, is Pet Sharing Day in Pre-K.  Attached to today's memo is a worksheet titled My Pet Pal.  Please fill out this paper with your child. Please attach a photo of your child's pet and fill in the questionnaire.  If your child does not have a pet, he/she can paste a picture from a magazine in the box or draw a picture of a pet he/she would like to have for a pet. Each child will have the opportunity to share his/her picture of their pet and tell one thing about their pet.  Please return all worksheets on or before Thursday, October 15.

Dear Parents,

Today blankets are being sent home for laundering.  If your child brings in a stuffed animal for the cot, please have him/her choose one that can be left at school for the week.

Thank you for working with your child on the “Pet Pal” project.  The children did very well sharing their worksheets filled with information about their pet with their classmates.

Today we are sending home an index card for you to list three names of saints you would like your child to learn more about.  We will be talking about the saints the children choose during the month of November.

Dear Parents,

Today blankets are being sent home for laundering.

In today's folder, there is a notice with the time and day for our upcoming conference.

Thank you for sending in the names of saints your child would like to know more about. November is the month we celebrate the Saints.  In today's folder, you will find information regarding our upcoming “Saint” project.  We have provided information about the saint of your child's first choice. If you would like more information about your child’s saint, the website www.catholic.org/saints might be helpful. Please complete the “Saint” worksheet with your child and send it back to school on or before November 9.  The children will have an opportunity to share their “saint” with their classmates.

We realize that some of the Halloween candy comes with temporary tattoos but according to our policy handbook on page 19, simulated tattoos are not to be worn to school.

We do go outside for recess each day, weather permitting. The back yard playground is shady for our first recess at 9:15AM. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately especially for the first recess.

Thank you

Congratulations to Ian, next week's “Star of the Week.”

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

Have a great weekend!
