"Beauty Is..." --this year's theme
Enter this year's Reflections Arts contest and win awards and recognition, and a chance to advance to the state and even national level. The theme will be "Beauty Is...", so get out your cameras, sketchpads, notebooks, ballet slippers, and instruments and show us what you think is beautiful. Entries will be DUE in early December 2009. We expect rules to be pretty much the same as this past year:
Art Areas: Students may submit works in (1) Literature, (2)Musical Composition, (3)Photography, (4)Visual arts, (5)Dance choreography, and (6)Film/video production.
Rules: Students can submit as many separate entries as they like. Each entry must be a new, original piece of artwork inspired by this year’s theme: Wow! Each piece may be submitted by only one student. An adult may not alter the creative integrity of a student’s work, and plagarism is NOT allowed. Middle School entries will only be judged against other 6th-8th grade entries. All entries are judged on artistic merit, creativity and interpretation of theme. All decisions of the judges are final. Highlights of the 2008-2009 rules follow. For more information, see www.nhpta1.org or contact Karen McLain, TRMS PTSA Reflections Chair at 362-8968 or karen@homecoach.org.
