About The Teacher

I have been a resident of Windham since 1977 along with her
husband, son, daughter, and her very fat but very sweet cat, Jesse.

I graduated from Salem High school in 1967 and in 1971 I received a
Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Plymouth State college.
Several years later, after my own children finished college, I went back to
school and earned a Masters of Education from the University of New England
in 1999.

Two of my favorite things to do are reading and listening to
music, especially my son Shawn's. I also love traveling with my husband John
although a favorite trip that's fairly close by is a visit to my daughter
Alanna's home and spending time with and my grandson Jacob.

It's no secret that I also like to write children's plays and for those of
you who may have had me for a teacher over the years, you know that I love to
have the children perform the plays for their parents.

I have enjoyed being a classroom teacher for more than 27
years. My first 12 years of teaching was in first grade and it was great.
The past 15 years in Transition have been equally rewarding and fun.

Now, as the Enrichment teacher... and Destination ImagiNation coordinator
for Golden Brook,it seems I will have more wonderful new experiences to add
to my repertoire. It is all very exciting and new and I am looking forward to
every bit of it.

Mission For The Class

The mission of Enrichment is to engage every student in lessons and
activities that not only reflect the school's curriculum but also encourage
them to become strong critical thinkers and creative problem solvers.
And ... it is also our belief that every child has gifts and/or talents
that should be nurtured and celebrated.
