How much time should my child spend on homework each day?
Your child should spend 20 to 30 minutes on homework each day, unless
he/she is on a special contract or was absent from class.
--------------------------------------
Should my child read every day at home?
Your child should participate in at least 15 minutes of reading at home
everyday. There are four ways in which your child should be involved in
reading:
1. read to himself 2. be read to 3. listen to a book on tape
4. read to an adult, younger child, babysitter, or pet
Reading practice builds good readers and lifelong learners!

What if my child is having a problem at school or on the bus?
If discussing the issue with your child doesn't work, or the
strategies you suggested have not worked, please call me right away.
Often we can straighten out the problem quickly and teach your child
skills to handle similar problems. Sometimes the issue may be
connected to other issues which need attention. The school number is
898-9586, and a good time to call is between 8:15-8:45 or 3:20-3:45
each day.

What tests are given each week?
A one-minute math fact test every day....A spelling test each
Friday.

Any one child may care for the class fish over the summer. Just
write a note, and if we pull your name out of a beret, you'll be the
one.

It is suggested that each child share a joke or poem each week.
