--------------------------------------
What should my child bring the first day of school?
Children only need to bring their backpacks, morning snacks, lunch with
snack, and an afternoon snack. School materials will be supplied.
--------------------------------------
Can my child buy lunch the first day of school?
Children can buy lunch with milk or milk only the first day of school.
Please send money to school in an envelope with your child's name on it.
--------------------------------------
Should I send new crayons and other supplies in with my child?
If you have purchased supplies for your child to use, please do not send
them into school until further notice. Students need to learn our class
routines, and settle into our working environment without additional
distractions. Thank you
--------------------------------------
Should I write my child's name in his belongings?
Please label all of your child's belongings! Things are lost so easily in
school and the experience can be very tramatic. If names are put in coats,
lunch boxes, sweaters, backpacks, and on correspondence to me, your child
won't have to worry.
--------------------------------------
How do the lunch tickets work?
Our lunch tickets work like a debit card. You can send in the amount of
money you wish. As your child buys hot lunch or cold milk that amount will
be deducted from their card. Statements are sent home periodically. Hot
lunch costs $1.90 per day.

Should I drive my child to school on the first day?
We encourage all children to ride the bus on the first day of school. Not
only will children feel comfortable with the bus routine, but they will
receive a colored bus ticket when they get off the bus at Golden Brook.
This ticket stays with your child. Classroom teachers will be checking bus
numbers, and this ticket is one way we confirm each student's bus.
