The only students with homework assignments this spring are 5th graders, and those third graders who
are members of our guitar classes.
5th graders are working on Beatle projects. The grade they receive on their project is in place of a test
grade. Just a few examples of what projects might entail: PowerPoint presentations, dioramas, make and
distribute a Beatle test, learn a Beatle song on an instrument and perform it for the class, a written
report, a videotaped set of Beatle interviews....well, the choices are endless. All must be approved by
Mrs. Stohrer before work should begin. These projects will be due in mid-May. Some students are so
excited that they have begun work on a third and even a fourth project. Way to go!
