Pencil

To complete Scantron quizzes/tests, you must have a pencil. Otherwise, the computer marks every question incorrect and you will receive a zero.

Pen

Certain assignments must be filled out in pen- blue or blank ink ONLY.

3-ring binder

  1. To fit all handouts and notes, science should be kept in a separate binder from other classes.
  2. All notes, worksheets, labs, and handouts should be DATED and put in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Separate different topics with a piece of colored paper, a divider sheet, or tab.
  3. Keep a separate "Policies" section for reference sheets: grading policies, homework procedures, rules, lab format sheets, etc.
  4. Do NOT use a folder system. Loose papers fall out and the folder becomes a jumbled, disorganized mess. (A 3-hole punch is available for use before class begins or after class is dismissed.)

Looseleaf Paper

Notes should be taken on looseleaf paper (as opposed to in a spiral bound notebook), dated, and put in chronological order with the rest of your handouts, worksheets, etc. in the 3-ring binder.

Calculator

We work with numbers on almost a daily basis. Bring a calculator with you or you will have to work problems out by hand. Sharing calculators will NOT be permitted.

Textbook (Bring only when told to)

Must be covered at all times (not with a fabric book sock).

Other Materials (at your discretion)

Correction tape, highlighters, eraser, ruler, paperclips, colored pens
