What about the COOP test for high school?
The COOP is the Catholic High School test used to determine admission to many area Catholic High Schools. The BPJ Upper School Math and Literacy teachers offer a 6 week after school prep. class, at no cost. COOP forms and payment ($40.00) for test are both due by (Date to be announced). Every 8th grader must take this standarized test. Several public high schools ask for the results as well as Catholic high schools REMEMBER: Meeting for parents will be announced . How is seating determined in the classroom?
While I understand that every parent wants their child to sit in the front of the room, my policy is to rotate seats every ten to fifteen school days.This year I have clusters of desks in the room; everyone will be randomly moving.Back to Top
What is Mrs. Chandler's grading policy?
Everything counts, from homework to classwork, as well as tests and quizzes. Tests are at face value, quiz average counts as 2 tests. Project grades will be determined as a test or quiz grade based on the project itself. Class participation and homework count toward overall grade.Back to Top

When will dates of fundraising events for grade 8 be sent home?
After considering the fact that the COOP is in November, I will schedule all events after the test, with one exception: I am scheduling one bake sale per month starting aftre Thanksgiving, instead of several at the end of the year. There will be other events as we go along. Please help keep the cost of our trip as low as possible by supporting all 8th grade events.Back to Top
Is there extra help available?
Always! Whenever it is necessary, I will set up a schedule of days that I will be available.If at any time parents feel it would be beneficial, please let me know and I will certainly oblige. I will also notify parents if I feel that extra help would benefit a student.Back to Top
