How is seating determined in the classroom?

While I understand that every parent wants their child to sit in
the front
of the room, my policy is to rotate seats every ten to fifteen
school
days. This year I have clusters of desks in the room; everyone
will be
randomly moving.

What is Mrs. Chandler's grading policy?

Everything counts, from homework to classwork, as well as tests
and quizzes.
Tests are at face value, quiz average counts as 2 tests. Project
grades will
be determined as a test or quiz grade based on the project
itself.
Class participation and homework count toward overall grade.

RESPONSIBILITY(in all that you do and say)

When will dates of fundraising events for grade 8 be sent home?

After considering the fact that the COOP is in November, I will
schedule all
events after the test, with one exception: I am scheduling one
bake sale per
month starting aftre Thanksgiving, instead of several at the end
of
the year. There will be other events as we go along. Please help
keep the
cost of our trip as low as possible by supporting all 8th grade
events.

Is there extra help available?

Always! Whenever it is necessary, I will set up a schedule of
days that I
will be available. If at any time parents feel it would be
beneficial, please
let me know and I will certainly oblige. I will also notify
parents if I
feel that extra help would benefit a student.
