The Bowne Munro Media Center has the following policy toward borrowing:
1. Students in grades K-2 have a one week borrowing period. Students in
grades 3-5 have a two week borrowing period. Please have your child
return library books in a timely manner in order to share our collection
with the whole school.
2. Although the media center does not charge late fines, I encourage you to
have your child renew his or her books if he/she would like to keep them for
longer than the two week period. Any book that is lost will be charged its
replacement value. ($12.00)
Following is a grade by grade listing of book borrowing limits:
Kindergarten: 1 book per week for no longer than 1 week without renewal
1st Grade: 1 book per week for no longer than 1 weeks without renewal
2nd Grade: 2 books per week for no longer than 1 weeks without renewal
3rd Grade: 2 books per week for no longer than 2 weeks without renewal
4th Grade: 3 books per week for no longer than 2 weeks without renewal
5th Grade: 3 books per week for no longer than 2 weeks without renewal
Borrowing books for special projects such as research or SDL will be done as
a class and will not be reflected in individual student accounts
