Announcements

A notice went home to 4th grade parents about several cases of head lice in the 4th grade. Please review this important information from Mrs. Ficke.

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Halloween. Just a reminder that candy is not an appropriate morning snack.

This is a crazy week! Please remember that students are dismissed at 1:15 on Tuesday, November 3rd. There is also no school on Thursday and Friday due to Teachers Convention. Enjoy your days off!

ILA Homework 4A & 4B
Word Study

Since students have many books to carry between classes in 4th grade, I have suggested they bring a small tote bag to help as they move from room to room. It is not required, but definitely helpful.

Thanks you to those who donated items to our class. If you would like to donate items to the classroom to help us stay healthy and organized, the following items would be greatly appreciated:
- hand sanitizer (used daily prior to snack, lunch, birthdays snacks, etc.)
- Clorox wipes (for desks, chairs, tables, etc.)
- Tissues
- Ziploc-type bags (snack size, sandwich size, and gallon size for Word Study sorts and independent reading books)

A few reminders...

Please continue to visit this website often during the year for information about
what's going on in our class!

All ILA books and notebooks should be returned to school the next day and brought to class.  Please check your backpack each night to make sure that your books are coming back to school!

Please click the button below if you would like to receive an email or text message
notification when this page has been updated.

Students are responsible for emptying out their mailbox each day. Please remind your child to check their mailbox and I will do the same.

We have a WORKING snack each day around 10:30 am. Please send your child to school with a healthy, easy-to-eat snack. I do not allow any drinks besides water bottles in my classroom during snack due to the chance of sticky spillage and ruined books and papers. Thank you for your understanding.

All parents are asked to please follow the district guidelines when sending in birthday treats. No item that has sugar as the first ingredient or candy should be sent into the school for any reason. If parents are not sure and also to save time, they can purchase treats through the child nutrition deparatment. They can e-mail them at childnutrition@ebnet.org or call at 732-613-6717.  ALSO, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SEND IN NAPKINS AND ANY OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED TO EAT THE SNACK! I always have a few napkins on hand left over from parties and such, but not always enough for the whole class.
