2^nd Grade

To start the year your child needs the following items:

· a backpack without wheels

· supply pouch----due to very limited space a zipper pocket pencil holder/pouch will be used this year (no pencil box)

· 6 plastic pocket folders with clasp/fasteners, -- 1 red labeled Homework,1 yellow labeled ILA, 1 blue labeled Math, 1 green labeled Science, 1 black labeled Social Studies, and 1 purple labeled Health

· 2 boxes of 24 crayons (no more than 24 due to limited space in desk) one is to be kept at home to use for homework

· colored pencils

· 36 pencils

· a few erasers

· 2 extra large(jumbo) book socks (covers) both books are about 9”x11 ½“

· one book sock (cover) to fit a 9”x10” book

· a few small glue sticks

· a yellow highlighter

· a small bottle of glue

· a pair of scissors

· an old shirt from someone bigger than he or she, for art with your child’s name

· a mini-pencil sharpener with a compartment to hold the shavings

· 1 red subject notebook for library.

Please label your child’s backpack, lunch box and/or any coats or sweaters (on inside tag), glue, and scissors with your child’s first and last name using a permanent marker.
