Can I send in treats to celebrate my child's birthday?

Yes, you can send in "peanut free" treats. They can be dropped off in the
office on the day of your child's birthday, and we will celebrate when all
the children are present in the room.

Can my child make up late Writer's Notebook entries?

No. Your child has a firm schedule with firm expectations. Once the
notebooks are due, late entries are not accepted; nor can they be made up
the following week. This is to encourage continuous writing.

Can my child complete the Reader's Notebook letter at home?

No. Your child has an entire week in class to write their letter. There is
no reason for them to take this assignment home. It is an in-class-
assignment.
