Please read the parent letter in Study Links to familiarize yourself with Unit 10.

The following are the mastery concepts for the Unit 10.

Student can:

Write algebraic expressions to represent situations.

Solve one-step pan-balance problems.

Interpret mystery line plots and graphs.

Distinguish between circumference and area of a circle.

Measure the radius and diameter of a circle.

Diameter = 2 * radius

Radius = ½ diameter

Use formulas to find circumference and area of a circle.

Circumference = π * diameter

Area = π * radius²

Students receive a study guide at the completion of each unit. The guide lists Journal pages, Study Link pages and reference book pages to help prepare for the unit assessment. On the day of the assessment sign the guide and return it to Ms. Feddish or Mrs. Stapleton.
