Dear Parents,
Your child has expressed an interest in attending the early morning
intramural program. The program is available to all 4th and 5th grade
students who are interested in learning a variety of enjoyable activities and
interested in improving their fitness levels. The program will include an
assortment of sports based activities and cooperative games. Students will
develop an improved sense of self-confidence and build team skills, while
having a great time playing games that they enjoy.
If you share your child’s interest in the program, please read over the
student expectations and sign and return the attached contract. You must
also send in registration paperwork and $15.00 to the financial services
department. The paperwork can be found on the Bowne-Munro website via

The program will be split into a fourth grade session and fifth grade
session. The fourth grade will meet on even number Thursday’s and the fifth
grade will meet on odd. The tentative first day for fourth grade will be
October 8, 2009 and fifth grade October 15, 2009. The intramural program
will end June 3, 2009. Intramurals will be held every Thursday morning
unless school is closed or there is a delayed opening.
Students will not be admitted entry to the building until 8:00 A.M. If you
arrive early students will have to wait outside until 8:00 A.M.
- Students should dress appropriately keeping in mind that they will be
participating in physical activity.
- Behavioral and or academic problems could result in dismissal from
the program.
- By signing this form you are making a commitment to the program.
Three unexcused absences will result in dismissal from the program.
