Welcome to our website!
*** Remember the special bond referendum election on Tuesday, September 29,
2009. Don't forget to vote.***
I have information under the homework and links sections. The links feature
two outstanding math websites. Both sites are great for practicing addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division facts. You can use the sites to play
games and make your own worksheets for extra practice. In addition, there is
a link to National Geographic's Geopspy game, which helps kids practice the
locations of the continents and oceans, and other interesting pages related to
the curriculum. Check out the Classics for Kids site- there's lots of great
music and interesting stuff about great composers. As the year goes on, I will
update the links page with good Websites related to our fourth-grade
curriculum as I find them. Thanks for visiting!
Special Food Update:
We at Chittick are working hard to teach everybody about healthful eating
habits. Everyday snacks should be healthy- no cookies, cake, soda, or
candy.
Here are some suggestions from Mr. Decker on what you can send in for
parties:
Cupcakes (no candy topping)
Cookies
Chips
Fruit
Vegetable trays
Crackers
Pretzels
Popcorn (not candy coated)
PLEASE NOTE- Cakes and cookies are for special occasions only, not for
everyday snacks. Also, district policy requires that all food brought in for
the class to eat be store bought. Homemade items will not be served at class
parties. Thank you for your understanding.
Also, we cannot eat or distribute candy in school, so please do not include
candy in anything that the children might give out to classmates, such as
Valentines.
