Peer Mediation

The Peer Mediation Club is a program that teaches 4th and 5th grade students
the skills to help their peers resolve conflicts appropriately. Each
mediator will be trained and then allowed to assist, with supervision, in
mediating conflicts between peers. Mediations are facilitated during lunch
and recess times and always with staff supervision. The Peer Mediation Club
will meet on a regular basis to discuss questions and concerns that the
mediators have. Ms. Carol Woznicki, an instructional aide at Chittick, and
Ms. Christina Camillone, a music teacher at Chittick, are assisting
with the 2006-2007 Peer Mediation Club. Please feel free to contact me with
questions about our Peer Mediation Club program.
