Chittick School Arrival Procedures
To ensure the safety of our precious children, please do not drop them off in
the busy parking lot. Use the drop off lanes!
7:00 a.m. Early Morning Drop-Off Program ONLY
Students enter through the GYM DOORS and must be registered with the East
Brunswick Public School Early Morning Program (EMP). For safety purposes, all
doors will remain locked until 7:00 a.m.
8:55 a.m. Teacher Duties as Designated
Bus Students will remain on the bus until 8:55 a.m. and will report to the
Gym through the Front Doors only.
Walkers must enter through the Front/Gym doors after 8:55 a.m. Walkers cannot
be on school grounds (inside or outside) prior to 8:55 a.m. All doors will be
locked.
Kindergarten students should report directly to the front lobby and line up
with the Kindergarten Aides' supervision.
9:00 a.m.
All teachers will report to homerooms
9:05 a.m.
All students will be dismissed from the Gym to homerooms by grade level
9:10 a.m.

Chittick School Dismissal Locations
Front Doors - Grades 1, 2, 3, 5 - Walkers
Rear Doors - Grades K & 4 - Walkers
Front Lobby - All Bus Dismissal
Gym – Parent Pick-Up (Request for supervision at dismissal)
3:20 p.m.
Safety Patrol report to their posts. All students remain seated in homerooms
until each individual bus is called to the Gym to line up. Duty teachers and
Safety Patrol coordinate this procedure. Older siblings may pick up younger
siblings at this time.
3:25 p.m.
All walkers, bus, and After School Kids (ASK) students are dismissed at this time.
Students must walk to the dismissal doors accompanied by a staff member.
3:35 p.m.
Students wait in the Gym for Parent Pick-Up. A parent/guardian must come in
to the school to sign their child out.
4:00 p.m.
Building is completely secured. No visitors are permitted in the building
after 4:00 p.m.
ASK students must be signed out and picked up through the front doors only.
