What is the fifth grade TAG curriculum?

The 5th Grade TAG Curriculum is broken up into two major parts. The first
half of the year is spent exploring and understanding the ancient Mayan
civilization from Central America and Southern Mexico through the use of
Voyage of the Mimi II video tapes.

In the second half of the school year, students spend time participating in
a statewide competition called, The Stock Market Game. The Stock Market Game

No. Keep in mind that for each grade level, the class is taking place in
four different elementary schools in the district. Due to assemblies and

Can I change my schedule?

Unfortunately, no. My schedule is the best compromise among the four schools
that I serve, and the three grade levels. Students must be pulled out from
regular academic subjects to attend GATE classes. They may not be pulled
from any of the special areas. If there is a problem that a child is having
because of being pulled out of a subject, the best thing to do is to speak
with the classroom teacher to find out how the work can be made up.

1. Ask another of the students in the class what you have missed.
2. Check the Web site for your homework assignment.
