For Third Grade TAG, our theme for the year is "Mystery". We'll solve court
cases and then write our own. We will also meet the challenge of
solving "Challenge Boxes" throughout the year. Look for a box to come home
with your child sometime in the next few weeks.

In Fourth Grade TAG, we have choosen our own topics to investigate on the
Web, and then we are using HyperStudio to display the results. Students are
learning about any topic of their choosing.

We have developed a working knowledge of HyperStudio, a multi-media software
package that allows students to draw and to save graphics and sound files
from the Internet. We are using HyperStudio to present the results of
Internet-based research.

In Fifth Grade TAG, for half the year, we will find out about how to begin a
small business. In the second half of the year, we will learn how to make
money in the stock market!

In Fifth Grade Verbal, we are reading and writing our own short stories.
We will also learn how to be storytellers in the Appalachian Mountain
tradition.
