IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT for Verbal students: Verbal students who are
going on the trip to Kean University on December 1st should refer to the 
permission slip for time and place to meet, and when you will return to your 
school. Go to the Photos/Docs page and click on "Nesse Godin Trip 12.1.09" to 
review the nature of the trip. Click on "Permission Slip for the Kean 
University Trip 12.01.09" to review time, place, etc.

HOMEWORK DUE THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 30, 2009

Lawrence Brook, Chittick (no new homework, due to the Thanksgiving break): 
Answer the question, “What is a photographer’s dark room?”
 
Bowne and Warnsdorfer:  This optional homework is to allow you to tell us 
about a mystery book that you have written. Go to the Photos/Docs page and 
click on 3 TAG Book Review for the form. You’ll be able to tell us all about 
your mystery.
BOWNE: What is a photo enlarger?

Answer one or more of the questions for your Family Project topic. Go to 
Photos/Docs and click on Family Project for the questions. Prepare a CD with 
digital pictures from home for you to use in your topic. Then write at least 
one paragraph in your own words to answer the questions. This will help you 
when you get back to your TAG class.

                              Fifth Grade Verbal

BOWNE and CHITTICK (Not changed from last week, due to the Thanksgiving 
break): Write your fantasy dragon story, using your “Fear” essay and your 
dragon character study. The story should be at least two pages, typed or in 
ink, and double-spaced. Use as many of the 51st Dragon vocabulary words as 
possible in your story.
Also, research the story of one rescuer during the Holocaust at one of these 
sites. You can go to the “Links” page to click on one of the links that are 
listed below. Look for “Rescuers 1, Rescuers 2 or Rescuers 3”.

	Also, answer the question: Where does hatred come from? Reflect on 
your own life. Where have you seen intolerance?
	Answer these questions too: 
•	What was the Holocaust?
•	How many people were killed? How many Jews and how many others?
