Homework will be given Monday through Thursday as a reinforcement of concepts 
learned in class. This homework is due the day after it is assigned, unless 
otherwise specified.  Students will be responsible for copying homework 
assignments and reminders off the board everyday into their Agenda Notebooks.

It is important that your child complete's his/her homework each night 
because most assignments will be reviewed the next day in class. If homework 
is not turned in:

1. For each assignment missed, students will fill out a chart that 
lists the assignment that he/she owes, reasons why it is incomplete, and the 
date it was completed and handed in.  This chart will be kept in the front 
of each child's Agenda Books and parents are asked to sign it as the end of 
each month.
2. After 3 missing assignments, students will begin to lose in-
school privileges and their grade for that subject will begin to be 
effected.  The students will also stay in for recess and complete their 
assignments. 
3.  For continuous missed assignments, a phone call will be made 
home so that we can reach a solution to the problem as a team while the 
student completes each missed assignment during recess.

I understand when there are unexpected circumstances that come up.  If 
a student is unable to complete a homework assignment, please attach a brief 
explanation to the homework.  Most importantly, please let me know if your 
child is struggling with the homework.  With home and school working 
together, your child's academic skills will flourish.
