| Our Classroom Policy
1. Students will receive three verbal warnings for misbehaving in and out of
the classroom. After three warnings, they will miss recess for the day. If
the student continues to misbehave, a note will be sent home or a phone call
will be made.
2. No homework – No Recess. Each month the students will receive one Free
Homework Pass. It may be used for any day that month. It is the student’s
responsibility not to lose their pass.
3. There are rewards too! Our class is a “Team”. When the whole class
behaves exceptionally well, they will receive a class star. It is a group
effort and earned by everyone. After five stars are achieved, the student’s
will have the opportunity to vote on a celebration (i.e., ice cream party,
movie party, pizza party)!

Homework
1. Homework is given every night except special occasions and Fridays.
Please review all homework with your child. If your child is having
difficulty on something, please bring it to my attention immediately. You
may
write a note right on the assignment. I will be sure to sit with your child
so we can review it together.
2. It should not take your child more than a half an hour to do his or her
homework.
Assessments
Assessments are given at the end of each unit (depending on the subject). No
Assessment is given without proper notice to your child. Not all
Assessments
will come home. Some will be placed in your child’s portfolio. We will go
through the whole portfolio together at conference time.
Homework Pass
Each month the students will receive one Free Homework Pass. It may be used
for all homework for one day. It is the student’s responsibility not to
lose their pass. They may save their passes, however, no more than 2 passes
may be used in one month’s time.
** Our class policy is: No homework – No Recess. So a good idea would
be to save a pass in their homework folder to be used in an emergency.
