Dear Parents/Guardians,
I would like to welcome you and your child to our library/media center.
Students will be coming to the library/media center once a week. There is
much to discover at Chittick’s media center and I hope you will encourage your
child to take full advantage of the books and resources available here.
Each student has a library card on file that allows them to borrow 1 or 2
books each week. Students in Pre-K - 1 are allowed to borrow 1 book for 1
week. Students in grades 2-5 are allowed to check out 2 books and may keep
them for 2 weeks. There are no fines for overdue materials, although students
with overdues cannot borrow anything else until the item(s) are returned.
Fines are charged for lost or damaged books.
Our media center has many automated resources and our computer lab is located
next door. Students in grades 2-5 will make frequent visits to the lab.
Younger students will be provided with technology experiences in the library.
All students must have a completed and signed Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
card in order to use these resources. This card is kept on file in the lab.
You will be notified if the card is not on file.
