This is my eighth year at Chittick School. It is the eighteenth year for me
at East Brunswick. I have
previously taught kindergarten, second grade and third grade. I have also
worked in a local pre-school
for ten years. My degree was in Early Childhood Education. Having raised
three children of my own
who have all attended East Brunswick Public Schools, I have nothing but
praise for the school system
and all that it has to offer. I am so glad to be a part of it!
I am very fortunate to have with me this quarter, Miss Jaime Shaughnessy, a
graduate student from Rider University. Ms. Shaughnessy is currently
enrolled in Rider's graduate level teacher certification program for
elementary education (K-5). She recieved her B.A. from Rutgers University in
both Spanish and Communication. In the past year, she has taught
Kindergarten at the Child Development Center at Bristol-Myers Squibb in
Plainsboro. Ms. Shaughnessy is looking forward to becoming a part of
Chittick Elementary.
My hope is that each child develops a love for learning in a warm, nurturing
environment.
My wish is that each child works to his/her best abiltiy and becomes a
confident young boy or girl.
My dream is that each child leaves this grade equipped with all the basic
skills needed to carry on in the
next grade level.
