I have had the pleasure of being the school nurse at Chittick Elementary
School for the past 12 years. One of the joys of this job for me is seeing
baby siblings of former students grow up to enter kindergarten. What a
pleasure to watch them grow.
I graduated from TCNJ when it was still Trenton State College with a BS in
nursing. I returned there in the 1990s to get my school nurse certificate.I
have lived in East Brunswick with my family for 30 years. I have four
children who all graduated from East Brunswick High Scool.
I have a passion for cats, Walt Disney World, Hallmark Christmas ornaments
and watching pole vaulting.I love my job and watching our students grow
through their years at Chittick.
My goal as Chittick School nurse is to :
Promote the optimal level of health for students and staff.
Assist students to become increasingly responsible for their own health.
Provide health education and counseling for students, parents and staff.
Identify health problems and needs of students and make appropriate
recommendations.
Provide direct health services as needed.
Provide environmental health and safety within the school and during school
related activities.
Deliver a comprehensive program that conforms to state mandates.
