We are keeping busy in Second Grade!!!
In math, we are working on telling time and counting money. Please continue
to practice math facts every night.
In reading, we are focusing on reading with fluency and learning strategies
to help us summarize. We will also be studying text-to-self, text-to-text,
and text-to-world connections.
In writing, we celebrated our small moment stories and are now working on
friendly letters. We have so many people we want to write to!
In social studies, we are learning about our past. Share an interesting fact
about the past with your child at home.
In science, we will be experimenting with rollers. We love to be scientists!
In health, we are reading all about our family and how we grow and change.
Please continue to practice words as they come home each week and remember to
read at least 20 minutes every night!
