Mrs. Donahue received her BA from Columbia University with a major in
Environmental Conservation and Management and a minor in Psychology. She
went on to receive an MS from Rutgers Graduate School in Environmental
Geography. Mrs. Donahue worked for 15 years in the public and private
sectors in environmental protection, including several years with the New
Jersey State Legislature and then several years with the Marine Spill
Response Corporation, the world's largest catastrophic oil spill cleanup
company.
Now in her twelth year with East Brunswick eighth graders, Mrs. Donahue also
coached the school's Science Olympiad Team for ten of those years. The team
placed second in the state in 2002, 2003 and 2009, and third in 2004, 2006
and 2007!
Last spring, Mrs. Donahue received a Certificate of Recognition from the
Rutgers Chapter of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society, for her
dedication to the teaching of science. During the summer of 2008, Mrs.
Donahue was selected to participate in the School of Rock at Texas A & M
University and in NOAA's Teacher at Sea Program in Alaska! Learn more about
