What do I do if I'm absent?
Homework is listed on this webpage. When you return to school, you can also
find the missed homework assignments in the Homework Box. It may be in your
best interest to see me after-school the day you return to go over classwork
as well as homework.

Can I hand homework in late?
IF you were absent from school, you will be given an extra day to complete
your missed assignments (including classwork & homework). For example, if
you miss 1-day of school, you will have 2-days to make-up all work. You
will receive credit as if you had turned the assignment in on-time.
IF you were NOT absent, you can hand your work in 1-day late to receive 3/4
credit.
As 8th graders, it's YOUR responsibility to keep up-to-date on your work.

Can I come for extra help after-school?
Of course, but please let me know ahead of time so I can check my schedule.
All after-school help will be in room 309 unless otherwise stated.
**MID-NOVEMBER TO LATE-JANUARY: I will have limited availability after-school
however I will still be staying after to review the day before quizzes and
tests

What if I didn't understand the homework?
You can reach me via e-mail until about 9pm each night and I will do my best
to help you with your questions. (I won't give you the answer, but I will
guide you in the right direction!)

Can I do extra credit?
I want you to do well on the assignments you are GIVEN and not rely on extra
credit to pull your grade up. You should think of your "Do Now" grades
as "extra credit". If you come into class, immediately start the Do Now,
and make sure that you COMPLETE it - you will recieve full credit. This
should help boost your grade!!

What do I do if I missed a quiz/test?
If you were absent the day a quiz/test was given, you must see me to
reschedule a time to take the test. I will not "chase" after you to make
the exam up, but I will remind you when you return to class that you missed
a test. Please keep in mind that you always have advanced notice, so you
should know when you're missing a quiz/test!
