WED: COMPLETE the rest of the Structures of Gov't pkt and questions.
Constitution TEST next TUESDAY!
THURS: Read textbook pgs 182-185 & answer the 3 "Exploring the Document"
questions on pgs 182-184.
FRI: Complete Ratification chart & Federalism Venn Diagram (from today's
handout). CONSTITUTION TEST ON TUESDAY!
Week of December 7
MON: Read pgs 2&3 on the Legislative Branch in "Structure of Gov't" pkt &
answer #6-9,12-15 on pg 10 (I will be back tomorrow - sorry guys!).
TUES: Read pgs 3&4 on the Executive Branch in "Structure of Gov't" pkt &
answer #16-28 on pg 10. (Completed Constitutional Card sort info under
Handouts/Documents)
WED: Read pgs 5&6 on the Judicial Branch in "Structure of Gov't" pkt & answer
#29-35 on pg 11. (You MAY need to look elsewhere in the packet to find the
answers, but all answers can be found in the packet)
THURS: Complete steps 1 & 2 for "Once Upon a Bill". (Assignment is under
"Handouts/Documents" as are the notes from today)
FRI: Step 3 for "Once Upon a Bill" due Monday!
Week of November 30
MON: Read & Highlight the article you were given on the Electoral College
(Pro/Con). Answer the questions that follow the article and make
statements/points you plan to bring up in tomorrow's DEBATE! "SHOULD WE STILL
HAVE THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE TODAY?"
TUES: AOC & Constitutional Conven. TEST on THURSDAY. Come to class tomorrow
with 6 review questions prepared to share (3 on AOC & 3 on CC).
WED: STUDY for tomorrow's test (Review the following: AOC pkt, Great
Compromise & 3/5th Compromise chart, The Compromise that Made a Nation video
questions, Constitutional Convention packet questions #1-21, and notes on the
Electoral College).
THURS: Read "The Structure of Gov't" (new packet) pg 1 & Answer questions #1-5
on pg 10.
FRI: Illustration of the Preamble (due Monday).
Week of November 23
MON: Write a speech (6-8 sentences) either supporting/opposing the issue of
slavery as it pertains to the debate over representatives in the lower house
(Recall today's lesson on the 3/5ths Compromise). You will write from the
perspective of a delegate from ______ (the state on the card you were given in
class).
TUES & WED: Make sure your HISTORY Binder is ORGANIZED! Take time to put your
notes/handouts/packets in ORDER. ONLY HISTORY MATERIAL should be in your
HISTORY BINDER. Your divider should be positioned to the current
unit/handout/notes.
Week of November 16
MON: AOC pgs 13&14
TUES: AOC Quiz on Thursday (Review and bring in 4 questions you have tomorrow).
WED: Review for tomorrow's quiz! Read pgs 151-153 & answer Reading Check on
pg 153.
THURS: Read pgs 153-156 & answer #1ac & 2abc on pg 156.
