The week of December 14th:
Work on the snowman will be completed this week. Students created a hat for
the snowman by using a rope stitch, backstitch and gathering stitch. The
decoration is a button as are the eyes. Students also used the
running stitch for the carrot nose and a chain stitch for the mouth. There
are french knots and outlining of the intials.
The snowman is sewed together with the blanket stitch and ready to be stuffed.
We will then review the sewing machine and begin the first of two projects.
