You are a representative from France traveling the colonies and observing the 
events of the American Revolution.  Write a letter to King Louis XVI to 
persuade(partner does dissuade)him to help the Continental Army.
Be sure to include a date
Par. 1- tell who you are and why you are voting
Par. 2 - give reasons to persuade/dissuade king and explain all 4
Par. 3 - short closing

Continue finding more supporting information for your body paragraphs where
needed.  Remember your body paragraphs must support your thesis.

Finish outline for Paragraph III


October 20
Students should set up outline for Paragraph 3. They should write the topic 
(III)and outline the first two supporting details.  We will work on pargraph 
3 in class to help the students



October 19
Worked in the media center today revising intro and first body paragraph 
outline.  Students should continue revising and adding information.  


October 15-16
Due Monday
Students brainstormed the Patriot-Loyalist topic in class and then developed 
a thesis statement.  Most students almost completed the outline for the 
introduction.  Remember the thesis comes at the end of the intro after you 
have explained the background to the British-colonial conflict.  Students are 
then to outline Par. 2.  Your topic for this paragraph is a subtopic from 
your thesis.  Must have four supporting details explained in this part of the 
outline.  
The outline for I and II must be done for Monday.  We will be in the media 
center on Monday working on this.   You may use your text, notes or any other 
valid source to complete Par. II. outline.  

October 13-14
Start thinking about this question.  It will be the essay question that we 
begin working on during your next class.  This will be a major essay that 
will be worth a test grade.  The final draft won't be due for approx. two 
weeks, but we will begin the writing process tomorrow.

All progress reports handed out today in Period 12.  One student dropped her 
progress report on the floor.  

Homework was not collected again today because the trial ran late.  I will 
collect text questions from jury and judge when class meets again next week.

Judge - write up paper on your experience.
Jury - finish packet - Be sure to develop a good topic sentence for your 
final draft paragraph and staple with rough in the back of your packet.  Be 
sure packet is complete.

Witnesses - Answer any 3 of the follow up questions.  Rest extra credit
Lawywers - no homework
Journalists - write up articles and send ASAP
